UCLA XR Initiative (XRI) serves as a hub for UCLA faculty and students to meet, discuss, and practically experiment with VR/AR/MR and related technologies. XRI provides a space for exploring imaginative ways of teaching, learning, and creating knowledge with and along XR. XRI aims to both catalyze and facilitate transdisciplinary conversations and collaborations surrounding XR to generate innovative research, artistic practices, and discovery of creative solutions to our world’s grand challenges.UCLA XR Initiative Mission Statement

The XR Initiative at UCLA acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). As a land grant institution, we pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors), ‘Ahiihirom (Elders) and ‘Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present and emerging.
