A Guided Tour of the UCLA Simulation Center – Learning Resource Center, A-Level

June 7, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The mission of the UCLA Simulation Center is to improve patient safety and advance healthcare education through deliberate practice, interprofessional team training, and innovative research using multimodal simulations.

The UCLA Simulation Center gratefully acknowledges Maxine and Eugene Rosenfeld, whose generosity has helped UCLA maintain its role as a leader in this technology. UCLA was among the first institutions to integrate simulation technology, which has now become a standard for medical education, surgical training and health care team training. Such programs have resulted in improved performance, quicker response time, and less deviation from practice standards. Healthcare simulators increase trainee confidence and competence, improve patient safety, and can also yield cost and process efficiencies. UCLA’s Simulation Training Program has grown steadily to meet a growing list of educational objectives within the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and its affiliated partners and schools thanks in large part to the vision and commitment of Maxine and Gene.
